The American Heart Association is advocating the widespread use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to increase survival from SCA.
New Mexico has passed legislation directly supporting this effort, along with all other states. AED's are beginning to appear in casinos, shopping malls, golf courses and in all passenger aircraft operating 35,000 feet above ground.
Public use of AED's is clearly the newest and most effective safety measure being implemented since CPR classes.
